Andrew 's first season of Basketball just ended. It was SO fun to go to his games and cheer him on.

Andrew is SO fast! He totally got that from me. Ok! Ok! From Gary. . .
and me! Ok, just Gary:) Ok, 75% Gary, 25% me. (That equals 100, right?)

Andrew is a great team-player. He loves getting the ball and taking it to the other side of the court, but he sees when it's time to pass it and who to pass it to and so many times, that kid made a basket. Andrew started getting brave and shooting more towards the end, and he did make it once, but we mostly just wanted him to learn the game and have fun. He just saw what needed to happen for the good of the team, even if it meant letting somebody else have the ball. Such a great kid!

Not that he didn't fight for it. :) He had some great blocks and he stuck to "his guy" like glue. He was very serious about not letting the other team have the ball and he is pretty competitive and wasn't shy about hiding his disappointment if the other team scored, but I think it was a healthy amount.
The other teams were
crazy! Ours would fight for the ball and get aggressive, but I would forget if I was watching basketball or football sometimes. Kids were being knocked over all over the place and seriously
tackled. It was nuts! But we're all alive and it was a great experience.
